Julia - Documentary portrait

Director/Cinematographer/Editor

Travel excites me because it combines external movement with internal change. A short documentary profile of Julia, a former academic who transitioned into working as a windsurfing instructor. Shot on location in Prassonissi, Greece, the film focuses on quiet determination rather than performance, using observational footage and conversational audio to tell a story about personal reinvention.  I chose not to show the surfing itself because the story wasn’t about success—it was about the moment of choosing to try again. Ending at the waterline felt truer to that experience.
